  • Troy Anderson - Director

For as long as he can remember, Troy has been immersed in the world of harness racing.

His love for the sport began in childhood when he would spend countless nights at the trots with his dad, a dedicated trotting owner. Those early experiences of watching the horses thunder down the straight, feeling the crowd's energy, and soaking in the thrill of a great drive left an indelible mark. Harness racing wasn't just something to watch; it was something to be a part of.

That deep-seated passion led Troy to his first major role in the industry as the Metropolitan Racing Manager at Melton Entertainment Park for HRV. Over three years, he was key in shaping race programs, managing events, and ensuring top-quality racing at Victoria's premier harness venue. The position gave him an inside look at the mechanics of the sport, everything from race scheduling to the industry's complexities behind the scenes.

His journey in harness racing continued to evolve, leading him to a career as a Harness Racing Analyst at Sportsbet, a role he has held for over five years. In this position, he combines his deep understanding of form, tactics, and industry trends to provide insights into the sport he loves. Whether breaking down races, identifying emerging talent, or helping fans engage with the trots, his work reflects a lifelong dedication to harness racing.

More than just a job or a pastime, harness racing is a defining part of Troy's life. From the early days at the track with his dad to his career in the industry, his connection to the sport runs deep. It's a passion that continues to drive him and one that he hopes to share with fellow enthusiasts for years to come.

  • Troy Williams - NSW

    🏆 Strike Rate:
    10% winners
    19% placings this season

Troy Williams lives and breathes harness racing. Born into the sport in Dubbo, his mother was secretary of the local club, his father a trainer and part-time racecaller, and his siblings are also in the game. From his teens, Troy was driving and learning the trade hands-on.

After 15 years working outside racing, a talented mare named Iona Grinner (over $262,000 in earnings) brought Troy back full-time—and he’s never looked back.

Operating from his South Windsor property, Troy combines a relaxed training environment with close access to major tracks, giving his horses every chance to perform.

Known for his passion, attention to detail, and ability to get the best from each horse, Troy has built a reputation as a trainer who leaves no stone unturned.

  • Tori Hutchins & Luke Dunne

    They’re young, ambitious and winning.

At the Charlton Training Centre in country Victoria, Tori Hutchins and Luke Dunne are fast becoming one of harness racing’s most exciting partnerships. In just their third season of training, this dynamic couple is proving they have both the passion and the results to back it up.

Not long ago, Tori and Luke were training out of Carisbrook, but when opportunity knocked, they grabbed it relocating their growing operation to the purpose built Charlton Training Centre. The move has paid off handsomely. Tori’s first winner came quickly, on just her second starter at St Arnaud with Luke in the sulky, and since then the wins have flowed as their reputation has grown.

This season has been their most successful yet. From 102 starters they have produced 22 wins and 30 placings, giving them a 21.6% win strike rate and a 29.4% place strike rate. More than half of their runners are finishing in the top three, a remarkable 51% strike rate that is attracting plenty of attention from owners. Even more impressive is their current purple patch, with their last 10 starters delivering 5 wins and 3 placings for an incredible 80% top-three strike rate.

While Tori calls the shots from the stable, Luke is also making his mark as a freelance driver. This season he has enjoyed a career-best run, with 53 wins and 122 placings from 422 drives. That’s a 12.6% win strike rate, a 28.9% place strike rate, and a 41.5% top-three strike rate, highlighting his reliability in the sulky. Whether steering their own team or taking freelance opportunities, Luke is showing he belongs among the most consistent young reinsmen in the state.

Every young trainer has defining moments, and Tori and Luke have already ticked off a few. Their breakthrough metropolitan win at Melton with All Da Rage proved they could compete at the top level, while Sonny Brooke’s success in the Birchip Trotters Cup gave them their first taste of Country Cup glory. Each milestone not only builds their CV but fuels their belief that they can compete anywhere, against anyone.

With a team of twelve horses, Hutchins and Dunne remain a hands-on operation. Every horse gets their time, attention, and care, and that personal touch, combined with sharp placement and smart driving, is the reason owners are backing them. Outside the track, their roots run deep in the community. Luke still pulls on the boots for the local footy side, and Tori balances the demands of a busy stable with life away from racing.

They are not just another young training couple, they are the real deal. With sharp strike rates, proven metro success, and an operation built on passion and persistence, Tori Hutchins and Luke Dunne are building something special at Charlton. For owners, trainers, and racing fans alike, they are a team to watch and one to join the ride with now, before the rest of the industry catches up.
