Small Stakes Racing Welcomes Seaton Grima as First Training Partner

At Small Stakes Racing, we’re committed to partnering with the best young talent in harness racing, and we’re thrilled to announce that Seaton Grima has joined us as our first official training partner!

Grima has been making waves in the New South Wales harness racing scene, quickly establishing himself as one of the sport’s most promising trainers and drivers. His rapid rise and exceptional ability to prepare horses for peak performance make him the perfect fit for Small Stakes Racing’s mission—delivering affordable racehorse ownership while working with trainers who share our vision.

Why Seaton Grima?
Harness racing fans will already be familiar with Seaton’s growing list of achievements. At just 20 years old, he captured his first Group Two victory, steering Loyalist to an unforgettable win in the Redcliffe Gold Cup. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength, lining up in Group One features and continuing to make a name for himself on the sport's biggest stages.

But it’s not just his driving ability that stands out—his training success is equally impressive. In early 2025, he celebrated his 100th training win with Kosimo at Club Menangle, a milestone that cements his reputation as a trainer capable of developing top-tier talent.

Seaton operates Grima Racing in Sydney alongside Chelsea Prothero, where their focus on meticulous preparation and consistent results has already led to a string of competitive performances. His work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement align perfectly with what we stand for at Small Stakes Racing.

What This Means for Small Stakes Racing Owners
By teaming up with Seaton Grima, our owners will benefit from:
✅ Expert training and horse preparation from one of NSW’s fastest-rising stars.
✅ A hands-on ownership experience, with updates straight from the stable.
✅ Access to a trainer who knows how to win at all levels of competition.

This partnership is an exciting step forward for Small Stakes Racing, and we can’t wait to share the journey with our owners as we prepare to offer our first horse, within the next month!
